Cashmere and IOP Publishing to expand access to trusted physical sciences research through AI

Partnership enables discovery of IOPP's book and journal content by authorised AI applications, providing insight into access and use of scientific research.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, UNITED STATES, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Cashmere, the content infrastructure platform for trusted publishers, today announced a partnership with IOP Publishing (IOPP), the not-for-profit, society-owned scientific publisher and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Institute of Physics. The agreement will bring IOPP's proprietary portfolio of book and journal research into AI applications for inference use cases, using Cashmere's infrastructure to license and monitor usage of that content without exposing it to the risk of unauthorised use in LLM training.

As AI becomes an increasingly common way to discover and access information, publishers are seeking ways to make trusted content available through these emerging channels while maintaining transparency around how it is used. Cashmere provides infrastructure that enables publishers to license content for AI applications, support copyright-compliant access and gain insight into how content is being accessed and used.
